How can we do to weaken the shadow cast of laser pod light that shoot far away
01-11-2025A laser pod light can shoot a much focused beam at much narrow angle to anywhere far away. However, a distinct phenomenon referring to shadow of laser beam can be observed by use of nonlinear optics. You cannot remove it easily by adjusting the beam angle of optics or installation. Weakening this type of shadow involves reducing the intensity of “object ” laser beam or changing the properties of nonlinear materials by adopting ruby crystal.
The softness of a beam shadow is determined by the apparent size of the light source. A smaller, more focused light source without diffusion setup can create a hard, sharp shadow easily.
Besides this, you can choose other common diffuser materialist instead, such as frosted glass or special-purpose diffuser. Rather than shining the laser light directly, you can shine it onto a large, white or silver reflective source. The reflected light will in turn turn into the illumination source, which is much larger and more diffused than the original laser beam, a much softer and weaker beam shadow can be achieved by this way.
After the beam shadow is weakened a bit, we can make some influence on the appearance of shadow by changing physical arrangement of the laser pod light.Increase the illumination distance between the object casting the shadow and the surface the shadow falls on. If the shadow falls far away from the object, the beam from the large and diffused sources will "wrap around" the object more effectively so as to make the shadow softer. If multiple, evenly spaced and wide diffusion of led pod lights that are directed towards the subject are installed, all of beams will cause the shadows from each other to overlap and cancel each other out, more improved and reduced overall shadow can be achieved as we expect.
