Basically, standard parabolic reflectors reflect direct, un-refracted light around the main beam. TIR optics capture almost 100% of emitted light from the LED chips, redirecting stray rays back into the focused spot beam to maximize central candela while sharpening cutoff borders.
Adopt high-luminance, domeless CSP LED type or SMD LEDs to increase effective light source size, creating stray spill. Domeless chips present a smaller optical footprint, allowing lenses to focus light into tighter, high-intensity hot spots.
Prioritize candela per square millimeter over total raw lumen output. High intensity in a compact die permits tighter optical control during the rally contest.
Also ,add anti-reflective internal baffles or honeycomb louvers along outer optic edges. These block high-angle stray light that may result in dazzle and glare to oncoming drivers without degrading center-beam throw distance.
As LED junction temperature rises, optical shifting can occur
alongside lumen drop, increasing beam divergence. Compact and streamlined
heatsink outside the housings preserves beam geometry and peak lux over long
